Some things to think about.
Cloning and other reproductive technologies: Previous encounters with reproductive technologies have involved experimentation on women whilst also fulfilling the needs of some others. Current debates about human cloning (reproductive and therapeutic) relate to these existing encounters with reproductive technology. Can feminist practices and theories be built on to help understandings of what is going on now, and what kind of intervention can be developed?
For instance North/South divide: In the North/rich part of the world new reproductive technologies are developed and used to help white career women, who can pay, to have children late in their lives, while in the South/poor part of the world the same areas of new technologies are used for population control purposes.
Of course, feminism isn't only about thinking about reproductive issues, so we should approach questions regarding the links between patriarchy and technological development more broadly too!
