- 23rd November - It's the Ecology, Stupid.: Is 'sustainable development' a con? And how about 'economic growth' as the solution to all our ills? Can the Earth Survive Capitalism? Can I pay my bills this week? This session of AUL will seek to mix our own experiences of living within capitalism, to those of the system itself. A chance to interact together and ponder on the progress and necessities of building a post capitalist society.

THESE SESSIONS ARE NOT PRE-PREPAIRED, FORMAL, EXPERT LECTURES - ALL IDEAS AND CONTRIBUTIONS ARE NOT ONLY WELCOME, BUT NECESSARY!

- tues 7th nov - 5pm - uni, furness seniour common room - discussion about what's wrong with the uni/academia under capitalism and popular education alternatives (followed by a trip to the george fox 6 fundraiser in the gregson at 8pm!)
- tues 14th - 7pm - basement - climate change film and discussion
- tues 21st - 7pm - uni (Furness, LT 2) - feminist films and discussion
- tues 28th - 7pm - basement - preparing action against climate chaos
- tues 5th dec - 7pm - basement - film and discussion about AIDS (to mark world AIDs day on 1st dec)
- tues 12th - 7pm - basement - film and discussion about consumerism and action against flying (to mark christmas consumption at this time)
WE VERY MUCH WELCOME SUGGESTIONS FOR NEXT TERM, THIS PROJECT IS OPEN TO ALL TO SHAPE IT!
